iStat 3.03 - 맥 상태 관리

Here is the rather lengthy, but fairly straightforward workflow to cracking iStat (cred goes to bucky on MSJ):

(1) Install trial version (i.e. copy the v3.0.3 app to /Applications)
(2) Start trial app and download the sensors -- do not block with LittleSnitch at this point
(3) Copy the complete folder /Library/Application Support/iStat local/ incl. the sensors bundle to a safe location, e.g. your desktop
(4) Run the uninstall script within the trial version
(5) Delete the bjango preference via terminal:

rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.bjango.istatmenus.plist

(6) Reinstall trial (w/out launching)
(7) run "iStat Menus 3.x Licensor.app" and then run rep command in terminal:

grep -Z -r -l A2B54F253 /Applications/iStat\ Menus.app | xargs -0 perl -pi -e "s/\x41\x32\x42\x35\x34\x46\x32\x35\x33/\x39\x39\x31\x42\x38\x30\x43\x46\x37/g"

(8) Copy the complete folder mentioned under (3) back to its original location before launching the app
(9) Block all connections using Little Snitch to iStat Menus (/Applications/iStat Menus.app) and iStatLocal (/Library/Application Support/iStat local/iStatLocal)
(10) Start iStats Menus application: a window will appear asking to download/install the sensors and move some file(s) to the Applications folder, allow the sensors to download and the app to be moved.
